Vitamin C Please!
tips on how to improve your immune system
🌞 🌞 🌞
While celebrating a vitamin may sound silly, Vitamin C certainly deserves recognition for playing such an integral role in so many aspects of health! Vitamin C helps deactivate highly reactive molecules known as free radicals that cause damage to cells. Vitamin C also aids in the production of white blood cells, which help our body fight infections! Whether you are sending the kids to schools soon or just need a good immunity boost, check out these tips. ⬇
Incorporate it into your diet.
Eat more fruits and veggies to get Vitamin C! You could try...
1. Citrus fruits (of course), berries, cantaloupe, and kiwi (try with the skin on for extra vitamins).
2. Peppers, including the one that has our heart, green chile.
3. Tomatoes, broccoli, leafy greens, squash, and even potatoes!
The body does not naturally produce Vitamin C, so you must get it through food absorption.
Drink tea and herbal tisanes.
White and green tea are particularly high in Vitamin C! Because the leaves are naturally withered, this ensures a high content of Vitamin C and tea polyphenols. Just to put it in context, the daily recommended amount of Vitamin C for women is 75 mg. Green tea has 280 mg of Vitamin C per 100 grams of dried leaves! That's around 1.5 times that of red peppers, which have one of the highest concentrations among vegetables. 🤯
