Don't miss out on the little things this holiday season.
And so the holiday rush begins! During this time of year we often find ourselves becoming champion multitaskers and getting swept up into the hustle and bustle. By taking a few minutes each day to be mindful, we can give ourselves the chance to fully experience the meaningful moments that often pass us by.
Check out these tips on being mindful and present during the holiday season.

1. Find a quiet place for just a few minutes.
Get yourself into a comfortable position, close your eyes and focus on your breath. Listen to the sound of your breath and notice how your body feels during this time. When thoughts come to your mind, acknowledge them and let them go. Refocus your attention on your breath. Do this over and over for a few minutes.
2. Don't get sucked in by social media.
As the holiday season sets in, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest become flooded with other people's perfectly decorated living rooms, elves on shelves, parties and so much more. Let go of the pressure to keep up and rest easy knowing that your real world is way cooler than the one on the screen. Stop scrolling and be present.
3. Respond with kindness.
The holidays bring everyone together and sometimes that causes tension (but hopefully not a family feud)! Remember that you can’t change how others act, but you can change how you respond. Wear your joy on your sleeve. Intentionally laugh, smile, hug and participate fully. It will rub off on the people around you and they'll feel more joyful, making a happiness feedback loop. 😉
