Rooibos Tea
Reduces Blood Pressure. Relieves Allergies. Antioxidant Rich.
The red bush tea from South Africa.
Rooibos tea is a smooth and naturally honey flavored herbal tisane made from a plant called rooibostee or rooiboshtee, which translates to "red bush tea." The bush only grows in the Cederberg Mountains of South Africa and has long, deep roots to reach water in the arid and dry climate. The Khoisan peoples, native to the area, used the shrub as an herbal tea and a remedy for various ailments. Rooibos is known for its anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.

The more you know:
Rooibos oxidizes much like red and green chile! Red rooibos goes through a long oxidation process, fully turning the leaves a red color. Red rooibos has a full bodied flavor with caramel and honey notes and steeps into an amber-hued cup of tea. Green rooibos has a more delicate, herbal flavor and steeps into a light orange-yellow cup of tea.
