Making Iced Tea For The Week:
why this pitcher is our favorite way to make iced tea
🧊 ICE, ICE BABY 🧊
Whether you are sending the kids back to school soon, or are noticing your schedule becoming busier, you might think about preparing big batches of iced tea to enjoy during the week. If you've ever been to one of our storefronts, you might have tried iced tea from one of our favorite iced tea pitchers. Every morning we make pitchers of iced tea for sampling, but we use this same pitcher at home to prep tea for our families!
Here is why we love it.

These BPA free tea makers can be stored on their sides in the fridge without having to worry about leaking. The pitcher can make 2 full quarts of tea at a time, and is airtight so the integrity of the tea is maintained. The infuser comes with a drip cup for ease of preparation and the entire pitcher is dishwasher safe. These pitchers are perfect for families who drink a lot of tea, or for anyone on the go who wants to take a batch of tea along for the ride - without the mess!
Make full pitchers to tide you over through all your morning routines, workout sessions, and errand running.Â
The Infuser:
The infuser inside the pitcher is ideal for loose leaf tea because it is spacious, allowing each leaf to expand, unfurl, and release its full flavor. Also, the infuser is made from a fine mesh, which means no leaves will be leaked into the brew!
READ MORE ON HOW TO MAKE ICED TEA IN THE TAKEYA:
Step 1: To make a perfect cup of tea we recommend using 1-2 tsp of tea per 8 ounces of water. For 2 quarts we recommend using at least 8 tsp of tea for the pitcher. Add your tea to the infuser and place inside the pitcher.
Step 2: Pour your hot water over your tea leaves to the halfway mark on the pitcher, and allow tea to steep for the recommended time on the label.
Step 3: Take infuser out of pitcher and place into the drip cup.Â
Optional: Add honey while tea is still warm.
Step 4: Add ice to fill the other half of the pitcher, and then shake, shake, shake! Serve immediately or store in fridge.
Iced tea blends we love.
