Dana's New Mexican Chips & Guac
made with our spice of the month
🌶️ 🌿
This guacamole recipe hits the spot every time and is perfect to make as an appetizer for gatherings or just for a snack. Nothing pairs better with guac than some hot salty tortilla chips, so we included how to make those at home as well. Both the guac and chips are seasoned with our spice of the month, Dana's All Purpose, which adds the perfect amount of salty, savory, and spicy.
Made with sea salt, black pepper, cayenne, garlic, and New Mexican chile.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2-3 tsp. Dana's All Purpose or more to taste
- 4 ripe hass avocados
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 medium onion
- 1 jalapeño (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- juice from 1 large lime
For chips:
- corn tortillas
- 1 cup of avocado oil
- Dana's All Purpose
INSTRUCTIONS:
(makes 8 servings)
1: For the chips.
Cut tortillas into triangles, add oil to a hot pan, and fry chips until they are golden brown. Lay on a plate with a paper towel and sprinkle with Dana's All Purpose while they are still hot.
Pro tip: Take the tortillas out of the package and let them sit over night. This will help them dry out and come out more crunchy after being fried.
2: For the guac. 🥑
Mash avocados with Dana's All Purpose seasoning. Combine with minced garlic and finely chopped onion, jalapeño and cilantro. Top with fresh squeezed lime to preserve freshness and add a zing!
