This month we are shining the spotlight on Eleanor, the store manager of our Flagstaff location. Eleanor has been with us for about 3 years! We love her calm presence, her thoughtfulness, and her gentle and radiant lead-by-example way of working. Her favorite thing about work is connecting with her tea family! They are a tiny team in a tiny store (around 300 square feet), but they sure are mighty. Eleanor also excels in making her store a welcoming and comfortable space for anyone who walks in the door.

Her favorite tea is our Dragon Pearl Black tea! While this tea may seem quirky, it is actually a very traditional tea that is rather rare. Only the highest quality leaves and buds are selected and expertly hand rolled into a large pearl-like shape before the leaves can dry. When you add water to the pearls, they gently unfurl, revealing their golden tips!
The Dragon Pearls are naturally sweet and smooth with a touch of earthiness. Eleanor recommends steeping this tea a little longer than the label suggests to allow the rich, malty flavors to develop. She slowly sips this tea in the early morning while sitting in her sunroom, where she starts her day with intentional silence and stillness. This morning ritual is completely fitting for this tea because dragon pearls are believed to give us strength, energy, wisdom, and luck. ✨

"I care for myself through intentional alone time where I can tune in and tap into my needs, whether it be an outdoor adventure, cooking a good meal, or expressing myself creatively."
