DIY: TEA PARTY ❄️ 🍵

Relax. Indulge. Share.
MAKE IT A TEA PARTY

This time of year can feel fast-paced and a little tiring, so don't forget to slow down and find little ways to celebrate the season with your family. You ALL deserve to relax and to enjoy each other!

We recommend cozying up with your favorite tea date buddies, big or small, and spending the afternoon with tea and treats!

Check out our suggestions for the perfect winter tea party at home...

Step 1: Make it beautiful.

Set the scene by creating an ambience that feels thoughtful, warm, and comforting.

Light candles, play soothing music, and provide comfortable pillows and blankets to encourage lounging. A low table is favorable over a more formal dining room table setting - the idea is to relax!

Make sure you have the right brew tools.

This one is an essential:

We love this delicate Glass Teapot because you can watch the colors that the tea leaves release as they slowly infuse into the water.

Step 2: Make a pairing.

Make finger foods to compliment your tea! Traditionally, tea party food is served on a tiered platter, with each tier corresponding to the different teas that are being served.

If you don't have a tiered platter, you can prep each course on a separate dish and serve with the tea.

Here is how it is usually done. ⬇︎

The first course includes assorted sandwiches.

When the weather is cooler we crave something a little heartier than a cold cucumber sandwich! So, for a winter tea party we recommend serving this course toasted. For example, try a pesto and artichoke grilled cheese, or toasted bread with arugula and sautéed mushrooms!

Blends to pair with this course:

Genmaicha

Mountain Sunrise

Honeysuckle Blossom Oolong

Earthy, floral, or nutty blends are perfect for the savory first course.

Serve hot with a spoonful of Sunflower Honey.

The second course includes scones with cream and jam.

If you want to try something a little different, you can serve brie with toasted bread and jam. We are totally obsessed with our local producer, Heidi's Raspberry Farm, who makes a raspberry and lavender jam, as well as a raspberry and red chile jam! These jams are available in store only - come see us! ️

Blends to pair with this course:

Berry

White Peach

Lavenderberry White

Fruity and subtly sweet blends are a great match for the second course, which combines savory cheese and cream with sweet fruit flavors.

Serve hot with a spoonful of Orange Blossom Honey.

The third course includes decadent desserts.

This is the course for warm and gooey cookies, creamy cakes, chocolates, and other indulgent bites! You can get super holiday-esque here and throw in warm pecan pie or anything with cinnamon!

Blends to pair with this course:

Pecan Pie Pu Erh

Apple Empanada

Lavender Creme Brulee

Decadent and creamy blends with cinnamon pair beautifully with the dessert course.

Serve hot with a spoonful of Wildflower Honey and a dash of cream.

We're wishing you all cozy feelings, quality time with loved ones, and a sense of gratitude!

Happy tea time, friends!
Holiday shopping? These are so gift-able!
