Patchouli is a bushy herb that is a cousin to the mint plant. The stems grow up to 3 feet high and the small pink flowers that grow on it make the plant easily recognizable. To produce the oil, the leaves and stems of the plant are picked and dried out, then undergo a distillation process to extract the oil. Patchouli contains anti-inflammatory properties and anti-bacterial/anti-fungal fighting abilities. It also promotes a glowing, smooth complexion.
