It's roomy enough for tea leaves to fully expand, giving you the best flavor every time. The side hook allows it to rest securely on the rim of your steeping vessel, preventing it from slipping inside. You can also use it to make a big batch of hot tea.
How to Use Your Iced Tea Infuser
Cold Brew Method:
- Add 8 teaspoons of loose-leaf tea per quart (4 cups) of cold water to the infuser.
- Secure the infuser inside your pitcher and fill it with cold, filtered water.
- Refrigerate for 6–12 hours (overnight works best).
- Remove the infuser, give the tea a gentle stir, and enjoy over ice!
- Sweeten or garnish with fruit if desired.
Best for: Green tea, white tea, oolong, and fruit/herbal blends.
Hot Brew Method:
- Add 8 teaspoons of loose-leaf tea per quart (4 cups) of hot water to the infuser.
- Heat water to the proper temperature:
- Pour hot water over the tea in the infuser and steep for the recommended time on the label.
- Once steeped, let the tea cool to room temperature before adding ice, especially if you are using a glass pitcher.
- For faster chilling, refrigerate the tea for about 30 minutes before serving over ice.
Best for: Black tea, herbal blends, and chai.
