One of our favorite fall seasonal blends is our Pumpkin Pie Chai! As some of our seasoned guests may know, this blend comes out around the month of September and will be available throughout the fall, until the stores run out of their supply at the end of the season. We blended this year’s batch a little differently, and we were so excited to release it a few weeks ago! The Pumpkin Pie Chai is a honeybush tea base, which makes this blend caffeine free and can be enjoyed anytime throughout the day! Honeybush tea is a South African herb that is high in minerals and antioxidants, a natural expectorant, helps lower blood sugar, reduces blood lipids, and alleviates menopausal symptoms. Our blend this...
Pu Erh teas are my favorite class of teas! Before I became a part of the OBTC Family, I never even knew what a Pu Erh Tea was, similarly to many of our guests that walk into our stores daily! Pu erh teas come from the Camellia sinensis plant, like other tea leaves, and it has been aged, oxidized and fermented before drying. During the fermentation process, healthy microbes and microflora are present. This healthy bacteria is the same healthy bacteria found in yogurt that helps our digestive system function properly. Below is a list of what temperature each type of tea should be steeped at and for how long! These are our recommendations for the best tasting cup: 175 degrees F Green Teas - 2 to 3 minutes Mate Teas - 3 to 5 minutes...
