Tea of the Month: Lavender Sage Lemonade & Ginger
Lavender Sage Lemonade is blended with lemon myrtle, lemongrass, lemon peels, sage, lavender, licorice root, and marigold flowers. It is made up of herbs that are overall wellness boosters: they are antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant-rich, and high in vitamins and minerals. This combination is soothing for aches and pains and can help boost immune function. It promotes skin health and is quite calming for the nervous system. This naturally caffeine free blend is bright, herbal, and citrusy.
Ginger has a long history of medicinal uses! It is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that has powerful effects on the gastrointestinal tract: this makes it a great preventative measure against colon cancer and digestive issues. It is soothing for upset stomach and combats nausea. Ginger has also been reported to reduce cholesterol and improve lipid metabolism, which makes it a great strategy for preventing cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Ginger is vibrant, spicy, and slightly sweet.
Try this blend iced, with or without a dash of honey, for a tasty floral treat this May!

Spice of the Month: Serbian Blend
Nenada, one of our OBTC owners, is from Serbia. She says:
"The Serbian Blend is a spice I grew up with daily. Anyone who has family from Europe or the Mediterranean has probably heard of Vegeta - this is the inspiration for the Serbian blend! It's loaded with veggies and packed with vitamins and minerals. It has carrots, onion, tomato, spinach, celery, bell peppers, turmeric, garlic, sea salt, and parsley. We love to put it in soups and stews, on our favorite veggies, and especially on fish and chicken.
This month's recipe is our Serbian Sarma - just the way my mom made it - in honor of her and Mother's Day! This recipe wouldn't be the same without the Serbian Blend. I highly recommend surprising mom with this dish and giving her a super unique and cultural experience. Sarma is very decadent, so make sure you pair it with a bright, veggie dense, salad!"
Essential Oil of the Month: Lavender
With Spring blossoming all around us, we can't resist Lavender Essential Oil. It has such a beautiful and soothing aroma! Lavender is used for alleviating pain, helping wounds heal faster, promoting deep and relaxing sleep, and reducing anxious and tense feelings.
