ICE COLD SWEET TEA 🍋 🌿

Summerville Sweet Tea

the best glass of sweet tea is always the one you drink on the porch

A History of Sweet Tea & Porch Sittin'

In the late 1700's, the tea plant, Camellia sinensis, traveled all the way from China and ended up being successfully cultivated in South Carolina, which also became the birthplace of sweet tea a few years later.

Porches and sweet tea = a match made in heaven. Sweet tea was born in Summerville, South Carolina, in the late 1800's, around the same time when the concept of porches emerged in an effort to keep homes cool during the hot summer heat. Coincidentally, it turns out that sipping a sweetened iced tea while rocking on a creaky chair on the porch of a humble farmhouse is downright charming. The practice turned into a go-to hospitality offering, particularly in the south.

INSPIRED BY HISTORY

We named our very own Summerville Sweet Tea after the place where it all started. If you are a sweet tea lover, this tea is for you! This blend is made with black tea, as well as other refreshing ingredients. These ingredients just add that much more magic to the beloved thirst-quenching, icy cold elixir that most of America has grown to love. These ingredients work together to create an elevated version of a classic iced sweet tea by adding extra cooling effects and unique flavors. We also incorporated ingredients that are reminiscent of that loved, tried and true flavor of a classic sweet tea.
