This month we are shining the spotlight on Amanda, the store manager of our Mesilla location. Amanda has been with us for about a year, and her sweet disposition and her ability to be friends with anyone is what makes her so special to us. Her favorite thing about work is interacting with customers from all over the country and even the world! Mesilla, NM, is a quirky little town and you never know who is going to walk in! Amanda loves to connect with her customers and suggest places to see and things to do while they are visiting New Mexico!

Her favorite tea is our Tropical Cinnamon Sangria! This blend is bold, tangy, and rich with a subtle cinnamon kick! It can make a great summertime iced tea AND it can also make a great mulled cider copy cat in the winter.
Amanda usually drinks this as an afternoon pick me up because of its higher caffeine and fruity taste!
Amanda recommends drinking this tea hot or iced and steeping for an extra minute to really enhance the flavor. She likes to sweeten it with our Mesquite Honey and a cinnamon stick, which it brings her back to her home, New England, where they put cinnamon in everything!
At Old Barrel Tea Co. we celebrate and nourish our health in all ways. We asked Amanda what her favorite way to practice self-care is and this is what she said:
"I try my best to carve out my Sunday evenings for myself. A bubble bath, a good book, and a glass of wine fills my tank up for the coming week. It also gives me a few minutes to make my to do list for the week, so Monday I feel prepared for the week ahead."
